Today is Eli and my two-year anniversary. Can you believe it? I can't. Two years ago today Eli took me to Old Chicago for a couple of beers and then we went to Bravos. Our first date was eight hours long because we sat and talked the whole time. A good start, I think.
I wasn't so sure about him at the end of the night. What angle was this guy trying to pull? He was so nice and I wasn't used to that. But he dropped me off and didn't even try to kiss me, which surprised me. I mean, seriously, who wouldn't want to kiss me??
He called the next day and was very sweet. He told me he had a great time and wanted to see me again. I said yes and sealed my fate!
Today also marks the six-month anniversary of our engagement. I really can't believe that! I still remember how nervous he was when he asked me to marry him. That's a good sign, too, because it shows that he took it seriously!
