Ooh la la!

We've made our honeymoon plans and I'm so excited about it! We're going to the Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior for three days and two nights. Not exactly as long as I would like, but neither one of us can take much time off from work.
Check it out at: http://www.bluefinbay.com/
We got a super nice room with a fireplace and jacuzzi that is overlooking the lake. We also got the romantic package, which includes free dinner and breakfast and champagne in your room.
This place is so great, it's been named the best resort in Minnesota by a bunch of publications. You can hike, bike, snowshoe, play tennis. Do whatever.
We also are going one day after peak season ends, so we get a great deal on the room. And we all know how I like a deal!

Destination wedding

Sorry I haven't written in forever. We kind of hit a slump with wedding planning over the holiday season. But they are picking up again so I will have plenty to write!
We got back from Mexico last weekend. It was great. Nothing better than sitting on the beach drinking cranberry vodkas!
Every day there was a wedding held at our resort. It crossed our mind a couple of times how easy and fun it would have been to have a destination wedding. But then, of course few of our loved ones would be able to make it. We did take a picture at one of the set ups, joking that we would send it to my parents to make them think we eloped! That joke didn't pan out, but here are some photos:

This is the one we were going to send.

This is a view from our room! Nice, huh?

That's all I'm putting up for now... takes way too long to upload.

A wedding theme

I think I've finally decided on colors for the wedding. For awhile I thought we would just do a fall theme like everyone who gets married in autumn. But I wasn't too excited about it.
But I picked up the latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings and found out exactly what I wanted: Blue. I love blue. It's me and Eli's favorite color.
So I'm thinking dark, navy blue, silver and white. How sharp will that be? Very classic and simple, which fits us.
I also found a super cute bridesmaids dress, too. All the ladies like it, I just have to call and find out how much it is. I'm not going to make them spend $500 on it. But it's very cute and great for every body type. When I finally settle on it, I'll post a picture here.
