Bad blogger!

I've been a bad blogger. I know it, you know it. I haven't finished writing about the wedding and posting pictures. I apologize.
There are still stacks of Thank You cards on my dining room table that I have to fill out. My house is a total, complete mess.
I've been spending my time changing my name on my driver's license, bank accounts and the like. That is a full time job in itself.
The election certainly didn't free up my time.
So I'll get to it, I promise. Sometime. This weekend looks like another busy one, but we'll see how much so. Eli and I have some serious shopping to do (both with wedding money and a much-needed trip to Sam's Club for essentials). There's also the birthday party for a very special little boy.
But so far married life is good. It's actually pretty much the same as before but it's fun to see Eli with his ring on and it's fun to get my new bank card with my new name on it.
I will leave with this one tidbit: Eli and I went and saw the Beastie Boys last weekend. I've always liked the Beastie Boys but have never really paid much attention. I thought they were fun and pretty entertaining. Eli is a huge fan and loves them in the same way I love Pearl Jam.
But we went to the show and I now love the Beastie Boys too. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen and I've seen hundreds of shows. Seriously. (Pearl Jam is still at the top though. Right along with Springsteen and the E Street Band).
The show was great though. The more I think of it, the more I like it. Mike D and Adrock had a ton of energy (while MCA looked like he just wanted to take a nap) and they were switching it up and you could tell they were having a lot of fun. They weren't just going through the motions, you know? And that says a lot for a group (band?) that has been around for, what, 20 years?
